Introduction to the CVSL |

The Computer Vision and Systems Laboratory (CVSL) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Laval University, hosts the activities of eight professors and over sixty graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and research professionals, working together on the central theme of computer vision and its industrial and biomedical applications. Researchers from other departments, centers and organizations are also involved in a number of research projects. The Laboratory provides a dynamic and stimulating environment with an outstanding infrastructure. Its members participate in several national and international collaborations. The lab belongs to the Regroupement pour l’étude des environnements partagés intelligents répartis (REPARTI), a strategic network of the FRQ-NT and hosts two research chairs. The Laboratory organizes seminars and workshops on a regular basis and its research is published in the international literature. |
