Problem: The IMAGE project studies the comprehension of complex problems with the help of simulation and scientific visualization tools. There was a first version of IMAGE which was deployed on Desktop systems. The second version of IMAGE will be using virtual reality techniques and peripherals to try and get a better ratio of comprehension/time (to maximize the understanding of a problem in as little time as possible).

|
Approach: The use of RV peripherals is studied in the goal of finding interaction metaphors more efficient or more natural. This project implies the development of a completely 3D system entirely controlled by data gloves and or an intersense wand. |
