| Approach: In this project, we propose a fast algorithm for detecting human faces in colour images. The algorithm uses a colour histogram for skin in conjunction with edge information to
locate faces in a given image. Skin coloured regions are first detected using a HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) colour space. The skin colour detection algorithm can be improved by using edge information and modifying the way skin pixels are classified. |
