Bardia Yousefi

Bardia Yousefi is a researcher at LVSN-Laboratoire de Vision et Systemes Numeriques, department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Laval University, joining the laboratory in 2014. His current research interests include clustering, kernel methods, datamining for mineral identification using hyperspectral infrared imagery, computational vision, and mechanism for recognition of biological movement. Bardia Yousefi is Research Scholar at Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA) and LVSN-Laboratoire de Vision et Systemes Numeriques, department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Laval University. He received his first Ph.D. in Intelligence Systems from Department of Artificial Intelligence, University Malaya at 2016 and his second Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Laval University at 2018. He is Vice President of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers-IEEE Young Professionals (YP) in Quebec Section Canada. Also he is member of Computational Breast Imaging Group (CBIG), Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA), Advanced Robotic Laboratory (ARL) at University Malaya since 2012, Multipolar Infrared Vision (MIVIM) under Canadian tier 1 research chair in infrared vision from 2014, Computer Vision and System Laboratory (CVSL) at Laval University since 2014, Research Center on Geology and Geological Engineering of Mineral Resources (E4m) under NSERC-Agnico Eagle Industrial Research Chair in Mineral Exploration from 2014, Regroupement pour l'étude des environnements partagés intelligents répartis (REPARTI) under Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies (FQRNT) at Laval University since 2014, and US-National Postdoctoral Association (NPA),from 2018. His main area of interest involves image/data analysis (data mining), machine learning, and pattern recognition, intelligent systems, hyperspectral data analysis, remote sensing imagery, thermal image analysis, and Infrared Nondestructive testing (IRNDT) data. He is author of more than 50 articles in different scientific journals and proceeding-conferences and reviewer of more than 20 scientific journals/conferences.
