Frédéric Jean

Welcome to Frédéric Jean's website!

Frédéric Jean received in 2002 a Bacchelor degree from Laval University (Quebec, QC, Canada) in Computer Engineering, with a specialization for intelligent systems. From 2002 to 2003, he did research and development related to image analysis and computer vision for Regent Instruments inc. He joined in 2003 the Computer Vision and Systems Laboratory (CVSL), Laval University, as a Master student. He completed his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005, along with a certificate of studies on russian language.

He is currently a Ph.D. student at the Computer Vision and Systems Laboratory (CVSL) in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Laval University. He is also a Junior Research Assistant in the SIMBIOSES group, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Victoria (Victoria, BC, Canada). His research interests include computer vision-based motion tracking and analysis, and pattern recognition.
